HR Ahead Project

The HR Ahead Project is a platform for collaboration between HR research and practice, which brings together researchers, consultants, professionals and students to research, experiment and discuss issues for the academic and practical evolution of the Human Resources area.

This project is being developed within the framework of the ISEG Advanced Management Research Center, a unit at the forefront of management research.

Why the HR Ahead Project?

These are exciting times for HR. We are redesigning the organization of the future. How does this influence the way we manage people, workplaces, skills, ways of working, companies, culture...? As it is critical to keep up to date with the latest developments, practices and skills, we have identified a wide range of challenges and opportunities. We launched this academy with the purpose of discussing the current state of HR, investigating how HR Management can be improved to make a sustainable contribution to business success.

Development of studies applied to HR management and organizational behavior;

Working Groups

Organization of working groups to build solutions to specific issues.

HR Observatory

Creation and maintenance of an observatory of good HR management practices;

Connecting to companies

Creation of a project connection program between organizations and HR students;

Certification

Promote a certification system for sustainable HR management practices.

Coordination

 

Paulo Lopes Henriques
Full Professor at ISEG, where he teaches Ethics and Negotiation in the Organization, Human Resources Management in Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behaviour and Skills Management. He has a PhD from the Technical University of Lisbon, has written several papers on HR and is a researcher at ADVANCE.
Susana De Almeida Lopes
With a 20-year career in Strategic Human Resources Management, he is currently Managing Partner of SHL Portugal. She is a member of GRACE's iGen Coordination and Equality Cluster. She has a PhD in Organizational Psychology and is a Researcher and Professor at ISEG. Previously Director of Organizational Development, member of VdA's Executive Committee, and CEO of VdA Academia.
