The 1st will consist of around 50 T-F questions
For each correct answer, you get 0.4 in a 0-20 scale.
To ensure that the expected value of a random answer is 0, for each wrong answer you lose 0.4.
See the sample questions from previous years posted in the section "materials".

Assessment
Two possibilities:
a) Regular phase - two tests:
- The first test is about the first half of the course and will take place on Nov 10th, 11h30.
- The second test is about the remaining lectures. It will take place on January 21 th., 3 pm
Final mark = weighted average of the marks of the two tests.
Weight of each test = (nº of lectures assessed in the test)/(total nº of lectures).
Note: students who fail in this regular phase, but get positive (more than 9.5/20) in one of the two tests, in the recourse phase may - if they wish - only do about the part in which they failed.
Their overall mark will then be the weighted average between that positive mark in the regular pahse and the mark in the recourse phase.
b) Recourse phase - one exam about all lectures on Feb 6th, 6 pm for the students who:
- Fail in the regular phase (< 10, in a 0-20 scale).
- Pass in the regular phase, but want to try to improve their mark

Note for the Erasmus students
This is an advanced course in economics. Therefore, if you do not have a good background in microeconomics and macroeconomics, you should not have chosen this course - especially if you are taking a Management degree.
In this case, you should ask the Erasmus office to switch to another course.
