The ISEG School of Economics and Management (Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão) is part of the ULisboa (University of Lisbon). ISEG's origins date back to 1759 and it strives to contribute to the modernization and development of Portugal by training future economists and managers. The objectives of this school include the promotion of education, culture, research and consulting, as well as nurturing exchange and co-operation at both national and international levels. Many faculty members obtained PhD's and post-doc training in leading foreign universities. The quality of both teaching and research programmes is regularly assessed in order to guarantee students with outstanding services in higher education.
