Eduardo Moraes Sarmento wins award for the Best Lecturer in Higher Education in the area of Tourism

Eduardo Moraes Sarmento, an ISEG professor and the Chair of and a researcher at CESA, was awarded on the 19th September with the Best Teaching Career in Higher Education awardat the Hospitality Education Awards.

These awards aim to recognize the best in education and training in the Hospitality sector. Their aim is to contribute to the dignification of professionals and their respective professions and also to stimulate training quality in response to market needs.

It is in this context that the Fórum Turismo Association, in conjunction with Turismo de Portugal, I.P., the National Association of Professional Schools (ANESPO), the Institute for Employment and Professional Training (IEFP) and the Network of Public Higher Education Institutions with Courses in Tourism (RIPTUR) and in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization (WTO), is holding the annual award that aims to be a bridge between the academic world and the professional world. There are eight different categories: Best Educational Project; Best Innovation Project; Best Teaching Career in Higher Education; Best Teaching Career in Professional Education; Best Stakeholder; Best Young Career and Career Award. Each category has specific evaluation criteria.
