The Shanghai Ranking 2024 places 40 subject areas at Universidade de Lisboa among the best in the world.
ULisboa stands out worldwide in the subject areas of Naval and Oceanic Engineering (4th place), Civil Engineering, and Veterinary Sciences (both in 44th place), and Mechanical Engineering (50th place), as published by the Shanghai Ranking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2024.
The Executive Education ranking also places ULisboa in the top 75 in the world in Oceanography and Statistics, in the top 100 in Atmospheric Sciences, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Agricultural Sciences, and in the top 150 in Geography, Ecology, Economics, Water Resources, and Hotel and Tourism Management.
ULisboa is the national leader in 26 areas and was the only Portuguese university to be considered in the Executive Education ranking para avaliação em Ciências da Terra, Oceanografia, Automação e Controlo, Engenharia Naval e Oceânica, Recursos Hídricos e Estatística. No ranking a ULisboa foi considerada em 40 das 55 áreas avaliadas no âmbito das Ciências Naturais, Ciências da Vida, Engenharia, Ciências Medicas e Ciências Sociais.
Se olharmos só para Portugal, nas áreas científicas de Economia e Gestão, a Universidade de Lisboa está em 1º lugar e, consequentemente, o ISEG está de parabéns.
The Shanghai Ranking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects is internationally recognised as being one of the most prestigious higher education rankings. Created in 2009, in this edition it evaluated 5,000 universities, having published more than 1,900 from 96 countries/regions. The Executive Education ranking uses indicators to evaluate the productivity and quality of research, as well as the level of international collaboration.
