Mulya Wirana, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, will visit ISEG on December 1st to talk about the country's economic and business challenges and opportunities in the coming years.
The lecture, entitled "Economic - Business Opportunities and Challenges", will take place at 6pm in the Novo Banco Amphitheatre (Quelhas Building, 4th floor).
About Indonesia Indonesia is one of the most dynamic economies in Asia-Pacific and a member of the world's 20 largest economies, the G-20 group.
It is a vibrant democracy home to more than 240 million inhabitants, the largest Muslim population in the world, and the official language Bahasa Indonesia coexists with 300 other languages.
In 2014, the level of poverty fell to half of 1999 levels for around 11.2% of the population and Indonesia is now considered a middle-income country.
The country's economic development plan (2005-2025) is now in its third phase and focuses on investment in infrastructure and improving social support programs in the areas of education and health.
