The value of art is the title of the next CSG Science-coffee, which takes place on 29th Juneat 16.00, on ISEG's Rooftop Terrace.
The event is associated with the finissage of the exhibition Change of Agreement, which is also open in the Cloisters of the Convento das Inglesinhas until the 29th June, under the motto The value of art, which aims to promotes an edition of Café-Ciência that will bring together the researchers Jessica Falconi (CEsA/CSG) e and Sandra Faustino (SOCIUS/CSG), ISEG professor and researcher Manuel Laranja (ADVANCE/CSG), the curator and researcher José Carlos Pereira (CIEBA/FBAUL) and the artists Pedro Cabrita Reis and Filipe Romão, for a reflection on the role of the work of art and its values - aesthetic, anthropological, hermeneutic, economic, among others - in contemporary society.
The debate will be moderated by the journalist and director of Antena 1 João Almeida.
The session has free admission and will also include the presence of teh Dean of ISEG, Professor João Duqueand the Vice-Dean, Professor José Veríssimo.
The exhibition Change of Agreementwhich is supported by CIEBA - Center for Research and Studies in Fine Arts and CSG - Social Sciences and Management Research at ISEGis a project of the Cultural Commission of ISEG and FBAUL, and was developed within the scope of ISEG's 111th anniversary, and is curated by José Carlos Pereira (CIEBA/ FBAUL) and works by the artists Pedro Saraiva, Pedro Cabrita Reis, Francisco Queirós, João Onofre and Filipe Romão.
