The issue of integrity in the conduct of all members of the academic community is considered by ISEG to be one of the most noble aspects of university life. In order to defend, promote and support the practice of high ethical standards of academic integrity among ISEG students, teachers and staff, an Ethics Committee was created at ISEG by order no. 113/P/2017.
ISEG subscribes to the principles and good practices of academic integrity defined in the following documents: European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity (2018 edition), University of Lisbon Code of Conduct and Good Practices, ISEG Student Rights and Duties Charter and University of Lisbon Student Disciplinary Regulations.
Academic fraud and other violations of academic integrity, as described in the above-mentioned documents, are considered a very serious practice and the perpetrators are subject to the disciplinary sanctions provided for in the applicable legislation.

According to Article 4 of its Regulations, the members of the Ethics Committee are subject to the duty of secrecy and confidentiality with regard to the matters submitted to them.
