The Department comprises 60 teachers, with 7 being staffed by national and european institutions.

Faculty

The Department of Economics has special responsibility in the coordination and implementation of the Economics degrees, six Masters and two PhD Programs. In addition, it also assures curricular units of other courses, in close coordination with the other ISEG Departments.

Research in the Department of Economics has increased significantly in last decades, contributing to ISEG occupying a leading position in Portugal in the field of economics and management research, as well as in related areas.

Most professors in the Department of Economics carry out their research in the REM – Research in Economics and Mathematics and CSG – Research in Social Sciences and Management, both recognized by Foundation for Science and Technology.

The Department comprises 112 teachers, including career and guest.

The Department of Management has a special responsibility for the coordination and implementation of 4 degrees, 11 masters and the Doctoral Program in Management.

In addition to intensive participation in courses coordinated by the Department of Management, its faculty also teaches multiple curricular units in other ISEG courses, together with other ISEG departments, as well as in courses taught in foreign Universities.

Most professors in the Department of Management carry out their research in the ADVANCE – Research Center in Management and CSG – Research in Social Sciences and Management, both recognized by Foundation for Science and Technology.

Faculty from the Department of Management also collaborate with CEGE – Center for Management Studies and ISEG Executive Education.

The Department of Social Sciences is composed of 29 professors who coordinate and teach different curricular units in all Undergraduate degrees, as well as in Master's and Doctoral programs.
