Evocation of Manuela Silva | A Challenge for the Future

The death last October of Prof. Manuela Silva represented a profound loss for ISEG, for the Academy and for all those in Portugal who strive for a more just and supportive society.

In order to honor her memory, ISEG has decided to promote, throughout this year, a set of events that allow to bear witness to her activity as an economist, as a university professor and as a citizen.  It is also intended to underline that its vision of an economy at the service of people and the need for sustained and inclusive socio-economic development remain one of the pillars of ISEG's mission and, in particular, of the teaching provided here.

The first of these events, organized jointly with the Economy and Society Group founded by Prof. Manuela Silva, will take place on the next day. March 7th.

The event is attended by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who honors us with his participation in this evocation.
