'Work, Organisations & Society, a Luso-Brazilian Dialogue Film Cycle

ISEG, in conjunction with SOCIUS and UFRGS are jointly organising this Film & Debate Cycle, with the objective to promote reflection on topics such as gender, migration, sustainability, professions, science, technology, and public policies. Over the course of several months you can watch films produced in Portugal and Brazil, with simultaneous screenings at ISEG and UFRGS, as well as debates with filmmakers and researchers, and much more.

Join us on the Tuesday the 24th September, from 18.00 to 20.30.The title of the first session of the film cycle is 'Work, Organisations & Society - A Luso-Brazilian Dialogue'

The event will take place in ISEG's Auditorium 2 (Quelhas, 2nd Floor).

The opening session will feature the film 'A Name For What I Am', which is about the book The women of my country by Maria Lamas, a historical work that offers a unique portrait of the lives of Portuguese women in the 1940s. 

The event will include a discussion with the participation of Marta Pessoa, the film's producer, Sara Falcão Casaca, the Chair of SOCIUS and an expert on gender equality, and the researcher and professor Andrea Oltramari (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul). The moderator will be Susana Ramalho Marques, a researcher at SOCIUS/ISEG. 

The film will be screened simultaneously at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), a key partner in organising the Cycle.
