To apply the scores provided for in Table 1 of the Notice of Opening (p. 7) it is necessary to submit, when applying, academic degree certificates specifying the final classification obtained and, if they are foreign degrees, the conversion of classifications to the Portuguese scale.
When both the bachelor's and master's degree certificates obtained abroad are not recognized or the respective final grades have not been converted to the Portuguese grading scale, subcriterion A1 will be given a score of zero (A1 = 0).
To apply the scores provided for in Table 1 of the Notice of Opening the following documents must be submitted as part of the application:
a) Certificate of academic qualifications, specifying the final classification and, if possible, the marks obtained in all subjects taken. In the case of "post-Bologna" courses, you must present your 1st and 2nd cycle certificates or, if it is not a two-year course, your integrated master's certificate. For "pre-Bologna" courses, you must present your bachelor's and master's degree certificates.
b) In the case of academic degrees awarded by foreign higher education institutions, and in order to guarantee the application of the principle of equal treatment for candidates who hold foreign and national academic degrees, it is mandatory to recognize these degrees and convert the respective final classification to the Portuguese classification scale.
The recognition of foreign academic degrees and diplomas, as well as the conversion of the final classification to the Portuguese classification scale, can be requested at any public higher education institution, or at the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES, only in the case of automatic recognition).
