On the 7th of July, the meeting “The Governance of Information Systems in Portugal – Scenes from an Apostolate (ceGSI 9-22)” will be held at ISEG, organized by the European Club for Governance of Information Systems, with the collaboration of the ISEG.
The session takes place from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm, in Auditorium 4 (Edifício Novo Quelhas), followed by a flying lunch between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm, in the rooftop of the New Quelhas Building.
The Governance of Information Systems (GovSI), in the context of Corporate Governance, is today an unavoidable topic – despite the presence of several contradictory, conflicting and powerful interests, which are manifested in the economic, social, organizational environment, in Education and in the market of Information Technologies and of Communication.
This event is one of the “Apostolate scenes” on the relevance of the GovSI, carried out since 2009 by the European club for information systems governance – with the objective of disseminating and sharing Knowledge, on the pertinence and scope of this issue, with the highest levels of responsibility in the Organisations.
It will demonstrate the actuality of the "European Manifesto for the Governance of Information Systems Information”, of March 30, 2009 and released in Portugal and Europe in 2009, and various professional experiences will be presented, as well as practical cases of application of the concept in various public and private organizations.
A summary of a book, authored by some members of the European club for the Governance of Information Systems, which brings together a rich collection of 'Concepts, Good Practices and Case Studies' of GovSI, in Portuguese entities.
Finally, a keynote speaker will show the importance of “insurance against cyberattacks as an instrument of Governance of Information Systems”.
