Biography
I am an Assistant Professor at the Lisbon School of Economics & Management, University of Lisbon. I am also a Researcher, and Member of the Board, of SOCIUS, Research Centre in Economic and Organizational Sociology, and a member of the EUROMOD - Portugal team.
Previously, I held appointments at Trinity College Dublin and OsloMet.
I specialize in comparative social policy, ageing, welfare-to-work policies and microsimulation, and have published books with international publishers such as Oxford University Press or Policy Press and articles in international peer-reviewed journals - such as Social Policy & Administration, European Journal of Social Security, Journal of Population Ageing and the European Journal of Ageing.
