Biography
Ricardo Rodrigues is an Assistant Professor at ISEG and member of the board of SOCIUS, Research Centre in Economic and Organisational Sociology.
He has a PhD in Social Policy and Social Work from the University of York, UK, with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, as well as coordinating international research projects. His main area of specialization is ageing policies, specifically long-term care for older people, health and care inequalities and working conditions in the care sector.
Previously he was an Economist at the Portuguese Ministry of Social Affairs and a research fellow and deputy director with the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research in Vienna (Austria). He frequently advises governments of the European Union area on public policies and collaborates with international organizations such as the WHO, OECD and European Commission.
