Aluno: Ye Chen

Resumo
Cities are a key part of modern society, playing an important role in political, economic, and cultural aspects. As they grow, so do the problems they pose, starting with environmental issues - the genesis of the concept of sustainable development. Therefore, the concept of smart cities has been introduced, which is important in solving the "big city disease", improving the efficiency of urban management and improving the quality of life of citizens by using technology to integrate various elements of cities, such as people, transportation, communication, energy, and other systems. Smart cities have developed into a new paradigm for sustainable development worldwide, and both developed and developing countries are moving toward sustainable urban planning and development in both concept and practice. Since the Reform and Opening Up in 1978, Shenzhen's urbanization and economy have grown rapidly, and the initiative to build a smart city has been proposed. This paper introduces the concept of the smart city from the perspective of sustainable development and explores how it is practiced in Shenzhen as an example.
