Sales Reporting Value in A Data-Driven World: The Case of Volkswagen Group

Resumo
In order to complete the Master’s in Management in ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics & Management – Universidade de Lisboa, I decided to attend an internship in one of the most successful automotive companies, which gave me the opportunity to deepen on a practical level some topics of my interest. The automotive industry is one of the biggest manufacturing sectors in the world thanks to over 80 million units produced annually. It is certainly an interesting sector, represented fertile ground for the study and development of new industry practices as well as a catalyst for the greater amount of investments in R&D made by the entire world manufacturing industry. With the support of the literature review and the experience gained in the fleet office of Volkswagen Group Italy, we will understand the importance of developing a good reporting system, and how this can drive and increase sales in the automotive industry.
