Resumo
The aim of this paper is to understand the integration of young professionals in organizations. Research shows that human resources and work climate are becoming more relevant from year to year. Moreover, empowerment and effective employee management will contribute to better business performance interdivisional. The high economic impact of young professionals in the working environment by bringing fresh perspectives, new ideas, and a strong desire to make a difference is undeniable. This results in the management's urge to adapt to the needs of young professionals. Especially in today's environment, it is a major challenge to attract and retain young talent who also possess superior subject matter expertise. Derived from the literature, the two main research questions leading this study are: "Which characteristics do young professionals have in order to integrate themselves in today’s organizations?” and “Which employee needs might organizations focus on to attract and maintain talents?”. The report follows the postulates of Bellou et al. (2015), who proposed the inclusion of the individual character traits into the investigation, as well as Santiago (2019), who suggested further research to identify what young professionals value in organizations. This paper focusses on the management consulting industry in the context of an internship and embraces the employer branding perspective. For this purpose, in-depth interviews with nine young professionals as selected experts in the field of management consulting were conducted. The results indicate a strong integration of young professionals in today's work environment and the need to consider the characteristics and requirements when assessing job satisfaction.
