This academic journey navigates the diverse currents of procurement practices, uncovering a paradigm shift from traditional functions to dynamic roles, influenced by technological advances and strategic imperatives. This research covers a wide range of topics, including how technology is strategically integrated into procurement, and how design principles influence dashboards. The story comes to a close with a thorough content analysis of interviews with buyers from Airbus GBS Portugal’s Part and Material division. These interviews act as a compass, directing the creation of Procurement Performance Dashboard that is strategically aligned. The insights revealed highlight important factors to take into account, including alignment with strategic goals, actionable insights delivered, visualization clarity, relevance to daily task, and the significance of user-friendly interfaces. Synthesizing literature with empirical findings, this research constructs a robust foundation for a bespoke dashboard, finely tuned to address the unique needs of Part and Material division in Procurement at Airbus GBS Portugal. With procurement evolving from a transactional procedure to a strategic catalyst, this dashboard becomes more than just an observational aid—rather, it becomes an active participant in the achievement of the team objectives.
