This study delves into the influence of cultural differences on B2B relationships, with a focus on an AI startup expanding internationally. Emphasizing the critical role of Relationship Management and CRM in B2B dynamics, the research examines the manifestation of cultural differences in interactions with various partners. Hofstede's model is employed as a tool to identify and comprehend these differences. The study also aims to uncover strategies for adapting to cultural disparities through effective communication and negotiation, underscoring the significance of cultural intelligence in fostering successful B2B partnerships.
Using a qualitative research approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with five employees from a rapidly growing AI startup. This diverse sample, representing varied positions and backgrounds, ensures a comprehensive understanding of cultural dynamics. Open-ended questions allowed participants to express nuanced perspectives on cultural influences within B2B relationships and their limitations.
This research holds significance both academically and in a business context. Academically, it contributes to understanding how cultural factors shape B2B interactions and underscores the importance of adaptation for successful collaboration. In practical terms, the study provides insights into utilizing cultural intelligence for effective navigation in diverse business environments. By incorporating qualitative analysis and real-world perspectives, this research offers actionable insights for businesses aiming to thrive in culturally diverse B2B landscapes.
