Change of Pair Institution/Course

Degree Courses - Academic Year 2024/2025

Changing institution/course pairs is the act by which a student enrolls in an institution/course pair different from the one(s) in which, in previous academic years, they enrolled. Changing institution/course pairs can take place with or without interrupting enrollment and registration at a higher education institution.

It is not permitted to change institution/course pair in the academic year in which the student has been placed in a higher education institution/course pair under any access and entry regime and has enrolled and registered.

It is not permitted to change institution/higher vocational technical course pairs, or foreign courses of a corresponding level, for undergraduate study cycles.

Online application

Online Applications - June 1st to 19th, 2024

If you are an ISEG student or alumnus, you should log on to the ISEG website (top right), update your personal details and then apply by following the steps below:

(Article 9 of Ordinance 181-D/2015)

1 - Students may request a change of institution/course pair if:

a) Have been enrolled and registered in another institution/course pair and have not completed it;

b) Have taken the national secondary school exams corresponding to the entrance exams set for that pair, for that year, under the general access regime;

c) Have, in these exams, the minimum classification required by the higher education institution, in that year, within the scope of the general access regime.

2 - The regime for changing institution/course pairs also applies to students who have been enrolled and registered in a foreign higher education institution in a course defined as higher education by the legislation of the country in question, and have not completed it.

3 - It is not permitted to change institution/vocational higher technical course pairs, or foreign courses of a corresponding level, for bachelor's degree study cycles or integrated master's degree study cycles.

Non-Portuguese secondary school students

For students holding non-Portuguese courses legally equivalent to Portuguese secondary education, the condition established by paragraphs b) and c) of no. 1 of the previous article can be met by applying the Article 20-A of Decree-Law 296-A/98of September 25, in its current wording.

Students who entered through special access arrangements

1 - For students who entered higher education through the specially appropriate tests designed to assess the ability of people over 23 to attend higher education, regulated by the Decree-Law 64/2006of March 21, as amended by Decree-Law no. 113/2014The condition laid down in Article 9(1)(b) and (c) may be replaced by the application of Article 9(2) and (3).s 2 and 3 of article 12 of the aforementioned law.

2 - For students who have entered higher education with a technological specialization diploma, the condition established by article 9(1)(b) and (c) may be replaced by the application of articles 7 and 8 of the Statute. Decree-Law no. 113/2014of July 16.

3 - For students who have entered higher education with a higher vocational technician diploma, the condition laid down in Article 9(1)(b) and (c) may be replaced by the application of Articles 10 and 11 of the Statute. Decree-Law no. 113/2014of July 16.

4 - For international students, the condition laid down in article 9.1 b) and c) may be replaced by the application of the provisions of articles 5 and 6 of Decree-Law no. 36/2014, of March 10, as amended by Decree-Law no. 5/2014, of March 10, as amended by Decree-Law no. 6/2014, of March 10, as amended by Decree-Law no. 6/2014, of March 10, as amended by Decree-Law no. 6/2014, of March 10. Decree-Law no. 113/2014of July 16.

Notes:

  • In the case of students whose enrolment has lapsed due to the application of the prescription system, they can only apply for this system once the two semesters relating to the prescription have elapsed.
  • For students who entered higher education through the special competition for "Over 23s", held at ISEG, (regulated by the Decree-Law 64/2006of March 21, as amended by Decree-Law no. 113/2014The entrance exams (national exams) may be replaced by the assessment tests for access to higher education for those over 23 years of age, required by the ISEG for the course they intend to apply for.

Entrance exams required:

  • Mathematics A or;
  • Mathematics A + Economics or;
  • Math A + Portuguese;

Notes:

  • Minimum entrance exam score: 95 (scale from 0 to 200)
  • Minimum application grade: 100 (scale from 0 to 200)

Grading Criteria

Candidates will be ranked by successive application of the following criteria a):

1st Weighted average of the marks obtained in the required entrance exam(s) (50%) and secondary education or equivalent (50%) b);

2nd Higher number of subjects/curricular units taken in the course/school of origin (an annual subject is considered equivalent to semester subjects);

3rd Best arithmetic average of subjects/curricular units taken in the course/school of origin c)

Notes:

a) Candidates for each course will be placed in descending order on the list resulting from the application of the selection criteria set out above.

Placement is only valid for enrolment and registration in the academic year for which the application is made;

b) Without prejudice to verification of the conditions laid down in the Regulations approved by the Ordinance No. 181-D/2015In the case of the competition, candidates will only be admitted to the competition if they meet the minimum marks required of candidates under the General Regime, namely the minimum mark in the entrance test and the minimum mark in the application form.

Applicants who do not have the required entrance exam in Mathematics A or its equivalent (foreign students), Article 20a of Decree-Law 296-A/98) will be excluded from placement.

c) Only subjects/curricular units belonging to the scientific areas of the course to which they are applying and which are expected to be accredited will be counted.

Late payments

Application fee of 60.00 euros (non-refundable)

  • For students living in Portugal, the application fee is paid by an ATM reference automatically generated when the application is submitted. If you do not pay the fee on time, your application will not be validated.
  • Students living abroad can pay by credit card or MBWay.
  • Applications that are not accompanied by all the documents requested and the application fee paid will be rejected outright. There is no right to a refund of the fee paid for incomplete applications.

Required documents

Applicants from national higher education institutions:
  • Photo;
  • Photocopy of Citizen Card (or Identity Card) a);
  • Photocopy of your Tax Identification Number (NIF) - if you don't have a Citizen's Card;
  • Photocopy of the marks sheet for access to higher education (Ficha ENES), for the year in which you applied to higher education (applicants must have taken the national exam in Mathematics A, with a minimum mark of 9.5);
  • Certificate of achievement indicating the credits (ECTS) corresponding to each of the curricular units taken to date (not applicable to ISEG students):
  • In the absence of academic success, the enrolment/registration certificate from the higher education establishment of origin must be presented;
  • Declaration that you are not covered by the prescription regime (not applicable to ISEG or private university students).

Notes:

a) With your consent. If you do not wish to uploadIn order to validate your data, you must present the identification document in person at the Department of Undergraduate Studies, within the time limit set by the school. fixed schedule. In this case, you must submit a declaration in the identification document field stating that you will validate the identification document with the in-person service;

b) Errors or omissions made when filling in the electronic application form are the sole responsibility of the applicant.

c) Applications that are not accompanied by all the requested documents will be rejected outright.


Applicants from foreign higher education institutions:
  • Photo;
  • Photocopy of the Citizen Card or Identification Document of the European Union Member State of origin of the applicant or passport with respective study visa or, where applicable, certificate of temporary (a) or permanent residence;
  • Certificate of secondary education legally equivalent to Portuguese recognized by the Directorate General of Education or secondary school, with a breakdown of the subjects taken, as well as the national final exams, of the terminal subjects of secondary education considered homologous to the entrance exams required for the course to which they are applying b) and c);
  • Certificate proving enrolment/registration in a foreign higher education establishment, stating that the course is recognized as higher by the legislation of the country in question b);
  • Certificate of subjects completed in the course and institution of origin, with the corresponding credits (ECTS) and grades obtained, explaining the grading scale used in the country of origin b).

Notes:

a) Students with temporary residence must submit the Certificate of Counting Time of Residence in Portugal issued by SEF;

b) For foreign students, the documents indicated must be certified by the Portuguese consular service or presented with the Hague Apostille and issued by the legally competent authority of the State from which the document originates (Official Education Services). If the documents are not issued in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish, they must be translated into one of these languages;

c) Brazilian candidates with Portuguese nationality:

When the candidate is a course holder in the Brazilian high school system, and has passed the National High School Exam (ENEM), held in the calendar year or three calendar years prior to the application, provided that they have obtained a score of not less than 700 points, determined by weighting the scores in the knowledge areas of Mathematics and its Technologies - 80% and Writing - 20%. The minimum score is 140 (converted to Portuguese).

 d) Applications that are not accompanied by all the requested documents will be rejected outright.

e) Errors or omissions made when filling in the electronic application form are the sole responsibility of the applicant.

Important deadlines

  • Application: June 1-19, 2024
  • Results: July 5, 2024 (subject to confirmation)
  • Registration: July 8-11, 2024 (subject to confirmation)

If the selected candidates do not enroll or withdraw within the time limit set for enrollment/registration, they lose their right to the place, in which case the vacant places will be allocated to the next candidate on the list resulting from the applicable selection criteria who was not placed due to a lack of vacancy. Lists of alternates can be consulted on the ISEG website.

Registration

Enrollment/registration takes place online from July 8 (at 10 a.m.) to July 11, 2024, and you must log in at:

Fenix Portal > "Applicant" tab > in the application click on Detail > "Enroll" option

Then click > "Student" tab > left side menu "Enroll" > option "Enrollment processes" > Click on "Start process"

You must fill in the missing fields and proceed step by step until the process is complete. In the final step, after selecting the "confirm registration" button, the "proof of registration" document is generated.

Only after clicking the "Finish" button is the registration process complete.

Enrollment fees: At the end of enrollment, a receipt will be provided indicating the tuition fees and bank references.

The amounts to be paid for each installment and the bank references can be consulted on the Fenix portal at: > "student" tab > "View Account".

Payment of fees to be paid:

Administrative acts - 50 euros;

School insurance + Tuition fee 1st installment - 159,10 Euros

Total payment of 209.10 Euros for administrative acts (50.00 Euros) + school insurance (2.10 Euros) + 1st tuition fee installment (157 Euros) must be made up to 5 days after registration.

Students applying for SAS (Social Action Services) scholarships are exempt from paying tuition fees at the time of enrollment, upon presentation of proof of application for the SAS scholarship or a declaration of honor, which must be sent by email to seclic@iseg.ulisboa.pt .

However, you must pay the school insurance and administrative fees.

Equivalence

Accreditation is carried out under the terms set out in the Regulations for the Accreditation and Curricular Integration of Professional Experience and Academic Training at the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão

External credits - After registration, you must send an email to (seclic@iseg.ulisboa.pt), o Application for Accreditation duly completed. Bank references will be created by Academic Services. Once the amounts have been settled, a face-to-face appointment will be scheduled to hand over all the required documents;
Internal credits (ISEG) - After registration, you must send an email to (seclic@iseg.ulisboa.pt), o Application for Accreditation duly completed. Bank references will be created by Academic Services. Once the amounts have been settled, the credits will be posted and your curriculum will be reorganized.
