The following are covered student mothers and fathers, whose children are up to 3 years old, and especially pregnant, puerperal and breastfeeding young women, as set out in articles 2 and 3 of the Law 90/2001of August 20th.
The status is obtained by handing in a declaration issued by the hospital, maternity hospital or other health service, or by the attending doctor, or by a photocopy of the newborn's birth certificate, to the Bachelor's or Master's and Doctorate Department (depending on the case).
The benefits consist of:
- Pregnant women and mothers can take exams at special times when the respective exams are scheduled (they have access to a maximum of 4 exams - Bachelor's degrees and a maximum of 2 exams - Master's degrees), subject to the fee set per course unit.
It is compulsory to apply for registration for the special exam period by submitting the appropriate application to the Academic Services during the period designated for this purpose and to pay the fees.
