The following are covered student mothers and fathers, whose children are up to 3 years old, and especially pregnant, puerperal and breastfeeding young women, as set out in articles 2 and 3 of the Law 90/2001of August 20th.
The status is obtained by handing in a declaration issued by the hospital, maternity hospital or other health service, or by the attending doctor, or by a photocopy of the newborn's birth certificate, to the Bachelor's or Master's and Doctorate Department (depending on the case).
The benefits consist of:
- Possibilidade, para as grávidas e mães, de realização de exames em época especial, em que os respetivos exames estejam previstos (têm acesso a um máximo de 4 exames – Licenciaturas e um máximo de 2 exames – Mestrados), sujeito ao valor emolumentar fixado por unidade curricular;
It is compulsory to apply for registration for the special exam period by submitting the appropriate application to the Academic Services during the period designated for this purpose.
